While studying at the Institute of Economic Studies at Charles University, I was fortunate to be selected to attend a summer school at McGill University’s Desaultes Faculty of Management in Montreal. Canada. The following year, I studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, focusing on Asian Business and International Relations. These experiences helped shape the beginning of my career path. During my studies, I worked part-time as a credit analyst at BNP Paribas, and my first full-time job was at the private equity fund PPF. I worked in the credit risk department of PPF Banka, primarily focusing on financing PPF Group deals, including Home Credit Asia, the Mall Group acquisition and the credit analysis and M&A financing of Sazka Group (rebranded to Allwyn). I later joined Emma Capital, a private equity fund founded by Jiri Smejc - current CEO of PPF Group, as an investment analyst, where I worked on major SAZKA Group (Allwyn) deals (Emma Capital was minority shareholder until 2019) and I helped the CFO with project management around getting a credit rating at S&P, Moody’s and Fitch, several bond issuances and I was also helping the CFO with the whole IPO process at the London Stock Exchange and I assisted on divestment of SAZKA Group (Allwyn) from Emma Capital Group.

After five years in private equity, I took a year-long break to focus on self-development and worked externally on several smaller deals and finance projects (energy industry, cycling industry - FESTKA, automotive industry - Carvago, e-commerce - Mall Group). When I returned back to full time work, I joined EY’s due diligence team in Prague. However, I did not see myself as a consultant/relationship manager and after a 6-month project for Eurowag, where I worked with the controlling team to prepare the Spanish subsidiary for the Group IPO process, I decided to stay at Eurowag as an internal full time employee. Currently, I work as a finance manager, who cooperates closely with the Group CFO, I am focusing on risk modeling and delivery of viability statement, project management for refinancing / financing deals and corporate finance-related projects, ESG reporting, business plan reviews, valuation models and I am cooperating with CEO on monitoring of strategic KPIs. I was also responsible for the entire project management of delivery of the Group’s Annual Report 2022. My work is not only based in Prague, but also in London, as Eurowag is listed at the London Stock Exchange.

Throughout my career, I have gained valuable technical skills and knowledge, and I improved also my self-confidence, which is for a woman in a male-dominated field very important. I would like to share my experiences with younger ladies who are interested in careers in Finance or M&A. In Dec 2023 I became a Laureate of Inspirational Women in Finance for 2024 introduced in E15 magazine, I am part of FinZeny forum. I was nominated to Deloitte Future Gen CFO in Private Equity Business Program in London in Apr 2024.

Life is not only about work, hobbies also define us as a person, I am ex-ballet dancer (studied at state dance conservatory), passionate yogi (certified yoga teacher RYT200), road cyclist, the best activity after work is for me to go for a quick run or swimming, I also enjoy playing golf (hcp 17) or tennis with my friends and in winter I enjoy skiing really much. In bad weather you may find me in some art gallery.
