Jan Láznička

After university, I moved to Prague, where I now work and live. Although I have spent my entire working life in IT, I have never been a technician person – I have always enjoyed moving things forward, improving them, coordinating them – that is perhaps why I have spent most of my career as a project manager. I have worked on large projects in the telco industry and have also been involved in building new departments and processes in the areas of testing and project management. I am currently in charge of a team that deals with changes to IT systems and monitors their quality. I like to spend my free time with my sons, read thrilling detective stories, or watch comedy series. I regularly play badminton and enjoy cycling, but unfortunately I don't have much time left for my other favorite racket or ball games. I enjoy being a mentor for several reasons – especially the opportunity to try to motivate people who want to achieve something while stepping out of their comfort zone a little.
