Is it usually hard for you to select the Netflix show to watch? There are hundreds of different shows to choose from, including comedy, drama, travel, or cooking shows. But what if you want to watch something interesting and meaningful, some TV series led by a woman that will inspire you and show new perspectives? In this case, check out the list of the best Netflix shows with women leads we prepared for you.

Maid

One of the latest Netflix TV shows is Maid starring Margaret Qualley and Andie MacDowell. This limited drama series is created by Molly Smith Metzler and inspired by Stephanie Land's memoir "Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay" and "Mother's Will to Survive." Maid tells the story of Alex, a young mother who, with a small daughter Maddy, leaves her emotionally abusive boyfriend. She overcomes homelessness to create a better life for her daughter and gets a job working as a maid.

Master of None, Season 3

Another series worth checking is the third season of Master of None. The first two seasons tell the story of Dev, played by comedian Aziz Ansari – a New York actor struggling with his personal and professional life. However, Season 3 shifts its focus and shares more about the life of Dev's friend Denise, who explores her relationship with her wife, Alicia. The series shows life as it is, wrestling with the characters' flaws and exploring regret and loss in an entirely human way.

Firefly Lane

Firefly Lane is an American drama series streamed in 2021, with the next season coming in 2022. The series is based on the novel "Firefly Lane" by Kristin Hannah. It tells the story of two young girls who met back in the 1970s and shares all their ups and downs throughout 30 years of their friendship. Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke play the main characters.

Ginny & Georgia

Ginny & Georgia is another new TV series streamed on Netflix that is easy to watch. This fun and sometimes sad series shares a story of a young mother, Georgia, who moves with her two children to another city for a fresh start. However, a fifteen-year-old child Ginny often feels more mature than her thirty-year-old mother – the irresistible and dynamic Georgia.

Good Girls

Are you up for action? Then check out Good Girls. First released in 2018 with the fourth last season in 2021, Good Girls is about three suburban moms who got tired of playing by the rules. They decide to rob the local grocery store that gets them into a tornado of crime and money counterfeiting.

The Bold Type

The Bold Type is an American comedy-drama TV series inspired by the life and career of former editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan magazine Joanna Coles. It was first released in 2017 with its final fifth season in 2021. The series chronicles the lives of three millennial women employed at a fictional global publication called Scarlet in New York City. The Bold Type presents an aspirational and realistic portrait of young women's careers, friendships, and love lives in the big city.

Grace and Frankie

Grace and Frankie is one of the longest-running original series of Netflix, first released in 2015. The series tells a story of two women, played by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, as they start new lives after their husbands come out as gay and couple up together. Grace and Frankie try to change their strained relationship to cope with the new circumstances together. Netflix released the final season, with the remaining episodes coming in 2022.

Maya and the Three

The last show with a strong woman lead worth mentioning is a new Mexican animated fantasy TV series called Maya and the Three. The series premiered on Netflix recently – on 22 October 2021. It tells the story of a warrior princess Maya in a world based on pre-colonial Mesoamerica and other indigenous cultures. Maya embarks on a quest to fulfill a prophecy that says that three warriors will appear to help her defeat gods and save humanity from destruction.

Of course, there are many more TV shows with strong female leads worth watching. Each show, however, tells a unique story and shares ideas and struggles relevant to the main hero. If you feel like having a bad day or need to relax, pick one show from the list above, make yourself popcorn, and get yourself on that comfy couch of yours. And enjoy!

Mentoring

Your best people are thinking about leaving. Mentoring is how you change that.

Your best people are not leaving because of the salary. They are leaving because they feel unseen, unsupported, and out of road. And the 2025 data makes that clearer than ever. This article breaks down why mentoring is the most effective answer to the retention crisis companies are quietly facing right now. From the numbers behind why people leave, to what good mentoring actually looks like in practice, to why women in particular are being underserved by most organisations, it is a practical, honest read for any HR or People leader who is tired of losing good people and ready to do something about it. The research is compelling. The cost of doing nothing is significant. And the solution is more straightforward than most companies think.

Can AI replace mentoring? What AI can do and what mentors still do better

AI is a powerful tool and we are not here to dismiss it. Use it to prepare, research, draft, and think out loud. But use it in your favor, as a starting point, not a substitute. Because there are things AI simply cannot do. It cannot know you. It cannot challenge you. It cannot sit with you in the harder moments and tell you the truth you needed to hear. It cannot grow with you over time and see the progress you cannot see yourself. That is what a mentor does. And no algorithm is coming for that anytime soon. Curious where AI ends and a mentor begins? The full article is waiting for you.

Career growth for women in Barcelona: startups, creative industries, and community

Barcelona is one of Europe's most community-driven cities, and that culture is what makes it unique for women building careers here. Professional relationships are built through genuine participation, not cold outreach. The startup and creative ecosystem is strong across tech, design, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, but growth does not happen automatically. The women who succeed fastest are the ones who invest in community as seriously as they invest in their skills, find mentors, and surround themselves with people who push them forward. Femme Palette is that community in Barcelona, bringing together ambitious women through mentoring, events, and a peer network that extends across Europe.
